Wednesday 12/4 ~ Find Quotes & Start Outline

Warm-up: Topic Sentence Practice

Writer's Tip: The Literary Present ~ Whenever you are writing about a novel or story, you always address the events of the story as if they are in the present tense.

Example: Even though Ralph is the elected leader of the boys, Jack is actually the superior leader because he hunts for food, gives them the feeling of protection, and unites them through hunting and the chant.

Thesis: Check your thesis feedback on Focus. Make any needed changes.

Quotes: Today, work to find at least two quotes to support each paragraph. Don't forget the page numbers!

HW: Transfer Thesis, topic sentences and quotes to the Outline. We will complete all three paragraphs on block day.
