This site is an
independent and trusted source that has information on the most interesting and
important events that have affected soldier's careers and personal lives. It
also provides the readers with exclusive news, recreational resources, and
educational videos and photos. According to this article a number of illegal
immigrants that are living in the United States will have the opportunity to
enlist in the military under the Military Accessions Vital to National Interest
(MAVIN) program. This program will allow recruiters to target illegal
immigrants with high skills. The Pentagon program has a limit of 1,500 recruits
per year but it is unclear how many of those recruits are illegal immigrants.
The military recruits about 5,000 illegal immigrants on average each year. The
military services are not obligated to accept recruits under the MAVNI program.
Right know the only service that has accepted a significant number of soldiers
has been the Army.
